Years ago, I was an adventurous kid with the coolest metallic turquoise-colored bike. I would spend an entire summer taking my bike to dive down a hill so tall that it seemed as though was towering over all of the surrounding houses in the neighborhood, thoroughly impressing the other kids in the neighborhood—most of them were too scared to go down the hill at all.

Would I even manage to hit the bottom of the hill without a piece of this bike breaking off entirely?
Looking back on it now, I could have gotten another summer of solid rides out of that bike with proper care and attention. But who thinks about monotonous cleaning and care at that age, right?
But saving that old bike was the first thing I could think when Best Plumbing Specialties released their newest chemical, Bust-a-Rust. This chemical is will work on virtually anything, any material I can think of—glassware, ceramic toilet bowls, clothing, masonry, and the list goes on.
Bust-a-Rust is a quick-dissolving chemical that will remove rust as well as rust stains from almost anything. The iron in drinking water that causes foul tastes and smells can be completely removed as well with the application of Bust-a-Rust.
The active ingredients in Bust-a-Rust are sodium hydrosulfite and sodium metabisulfite, and it does not contain any phosphates, chlorine, or phosphoric acid. However, it should be used with care or it may otherwise cause a skin reaction, or even serious eye damage.
So you may not be thinking about resurrecting an old bike with Bust-a-Rust, but I highly recommend trying it out on the toilets, bathtubs, or washing machines in your building to rid them of hideous rust stains once and for all.
