Moen and Lennar, one of the leading homebuilders, are joining forced to put Moen Smart Water technology in Lennar homes nationwide. The Flo by Moen Smart Water Shutoff is an all-in-one security system that will give homeowners complete control over their home’s water from anywhere and at any time.
The Flo by Moen will be offered on newly built Lennar homes to focus on the future of homeownership, which includes the lasting lifestyle preferences that customers want, including sustainable and connected features.

Flo by Moen connects to the home’s main water line and calculates pressure, flow rate, and ambient temperature within the home’s water supply system. Additionally, it delivers data to the homeowner via the Flo by Moen smartphone app. It enables the device to monitor and help detect water leaks and other issues in the water supply system. Homeowners also can turn on a setting that allows Flo by Moen to turn off the water supply automatically if it detects a leak.
In addition to leak detection, Flo by Moen can help homeowners conserve water and make homes more sustainable. This joint effort hopes to decrease on the number of homeowners that experience water damage. With the decreased risk of leaks and damage, home insurance customers will see less clams and secure meaningful savings with smart home discounts.
Lennar plans to leverage the Flo by Moen to help protect their customers’ home water supply and allow them to enjoy all the benefits of a smart water system, including the ability to monitor, control, and conserve their home’s water at their fingertips.
Moen’s network of smart water products also includes the U by Moen Smart Shower and the Smart Kitchen Faucet. Both products allow consumers to control and personalize their experience with water.
By adding smart technology into new homes being built, homeowners across the country could soon have wider access to smart homes.
