Chicago Faucets announced a redesign of the MVP faucet cartridge. This redesign was necessary to address the industry demands for additional cycle time. The previous design claim was a 2-15 second cycle time, which adequately addressed water conservation needs. However, with new health concerns, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends washing your hands often and for at least 20 seconds at a time. As industry requirements change, it is important to have compliant products that meet customers’ applications. The new design will allow for a 2-25 second cycle time across a 20-80 PSI pressure range based on .35-2.2 GPM flow rates. The MVP factory setting will be 8-12 seconds at 60 PSI.
