A.O. Smith targets reduction in greenhouse gas emission

A.O. Smith announced its goal to reduce the company's greenhouse gas emissions by 10% by 2025. As energy and water demands increase, consumers are looking for products that reduce energy consumption, conserve water, and avoid single-use plastics.

Patricia Ackerman, senior vice president of A.O. Our commitment to innovation and engineering excellence has enabled us to be a leader in meeting our customers' demands, while at the same time working toward providing water heating and water treatment solutions that reduce the impact on the environment throughout their lifecycle."

17 out of 18 product development projects in progress for A.O. Smith's North America Water Heating are either zero carbon or high-efficiency gas products, which support a 50% improvement in energy efficiency.
